Sandra Leach - Managing Director

Sandra worked with Austravel in the UK, Germany and USA for twenty years. After four years as Managing Director she left Austravel at the end of 2002 to set up the The Sandra Leach Company. Tourism Tasmania was her first client in the new business and she has outstanding experience in marketing destinations, hotels, cruise companies and attractions. Sandra oversees the strategic development of the company and directs the team.

Gill Webb - General Manager

Gill is a Cambridge graduate and has worked in the travel industry for seven years. She began her career as a consultant at Flight Centre before being promoted to Manager and opening their London Camden branch. She joined the Sandra Leach Company in early 2007, and has since managed a diverse portfolio of accounts. She has completed the CIM Diploma in Tourism Marketing.

Anna West- Account Manager

Anna graduated with a BA Honours degree in Tourism before taking some time out to travel extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. She then started her career in travel when she joined Kuoni UK, working in both the sales and product teams. Anna moved to Stella Travel UK where she spent 2 years as a Product Executive working with Australasia product. Her most recent role as Product Manager at Best At Travel saw her re-launch their programmes to Australia and New Zealand.

Jo Lefevre – Account Manager (Maternity Leave)

Jo gained a BA Honours degree in International Hotel Management before starting her travel career with Bridge the World. She worked in both the sales and the product team before spending a year with Oberoi Hotels. For the last 5 years Jo has been a senior contractor in the Trailfinders product team. She has traveled extensively throughout Australasia and Asia.

Ashley Hale – Account Manager (Maternity Cover)

Ashley studied Tourism Management at Bournemouth University, during which she spent her industry placement year at Austravel. After graduating, she joined Austravel full-time as a sales consultant before moving to the marketing department. Most recently, she was Senior Marketing Executive at Viking River Cruises, and she has also completed the CIM diploma in Tourism Marketing in her free time.

Christie Lord – Marketing Manager

Christie is a destination marketing specialist with 21 years experience. She joined Sandra Leach Company after three years as the UK marketing manager for Tourism Western Australia in-house. Prior to this, she helped successfully create, manage and launch key marketing campaigns with Air New Zealand, Wanderlust and Tourism New Zealand including helping to execute the award-winning 100% Pure New Zealand global advertising campaign. Christie holds the Chartered Institute of Marketing Post-graduate Diploma and has a degree in Business Studies.

Elen Thomas – PR Manager

Elen is our PR specialist, joining Sandra Leach Company after two and a half years as the PR manager for Tourism Western Australia in-house. During this time she was responsible for devising and implementing strategies for brand campaigns, launching new products and targeting niche audiences. Over the last 10 years she has worked both in-house and in an agency where she managed broadcast and digital campaigns for clients like Philips, the Brazilian tourist board and Nissan across Europe. In 2007 she was named one of the 29 PR professionals under 29 to watch by industry bible, PR Week. Elen holds a Chartered Institute of PR Post-graduate Diploma and a certificate in travel writing from the London School of Journalism.

Josephine Ball – Account Manager

Josie has travelled extensively; her first real 'adventure' was InterRailing through Europe and then, after graduating with a BSc Honours degree in Forensic Science, Josie pursued her zest for adventure and exploration and took some time out to backpack around Central Asia, South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Cook Islands. On her return she followed her passion for travel and started her career in the travel industry working for Discover the World, first as a Travel Consultant for Iceland, and then progressing to the role of Specialist Travel Consultant for Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Polar Regions. Josie joined the team in September 2011.

Rebecca Jones – Account Executive

Rebecca's passion for travel thrived during her time out after completing her A Levels. She travelled extensively in Europe, Canada, and Australia where she volunteered on the Blue Mountains, where she helped to build and restore pathways. Rebecca then worked as a fine dining chef before gaining a BA Honours degree in English Literature. After graduating, she decided her passion lay in travel and joined The Sandra Leach Company in 2011.

Andrew Burnett – Sales Co-ordinator

Andrew is in his third year at the University of Surrey, studying for a degree in Tourism Management. He is joining the company as Sales Co-ordinator to develop his knowledge of the Travel representation sector.
